Ground investigations form an integral component of any development project, requiring understanding and characterisation of the ground conditions to inform design decisions and mitigate construction risks. OVERVIEW
Experienced CJA teams have been successfully completing ground investigations across the varied geology of the UK, helping Clients to manage construction risk, control costs and improve project safety. Notable projects include Portishead Quays, Temple Quay and SS Great Britain for ARUP as well as working with other consultants, main contractors such as Balfour Beatty, local authorities and private individuals.
DRILLING SERVICES
CJ Associates own and operate our own fleet of drilling rigs which are continually updated to meet modern standards. These range from window sampling, cable percussion and multi-purpose dynamic sampling / rotary coring rigs capable of sampling both soils and rocks to obtain the highest quality samples. Our investment in plant and equipment, and experienced drilling personnel allow us to offer a first-in-class service to the industry.
IN-SITU TESTING
Our In-Situ Testing teams provide trained and experienced technicians to undertake a wide variety of in-situ testing nationwide, offering UKAS accredited services and a flexible approach to obtain the right data first time with a rapid turnaround on delivery of results.
LABORATORY TESTING
Our UKAS accredited laboratory is well equipped to provide both routine geotechnical and materials testing services in accordance with BS, BS EN, ISRM and ASTM international test methods. Working to the highest standards, we ensure results are delivered on time and to specification.
